Gorilla Chop.

Depth: 5-16m average

favourable wind: North

Entry: Beach/Steps

Gorilla chop is usually a winter point, but equally beautiful during the summer.

The water is usually calm and serene with an amazing array of fish and corals.

Its depth makes it the perfect place to practice skin diving for the first time or if more advanced there are the beautiful corals to glide over.

For scuba divers this is a perfect point for all levels from discovery to advanced.

 offering amazing macro chances too!!

This is one of my preferred points for skin diving and diving because of its ease of access and the beautiful corals and mysterious feeling of diving under the pier!!

This is probably one of the best dive sites on okinawa with easy access, car park and showers avaliable.

Blue Cave, Cape Maeda.

Average depth: 5-30m

favourable wind: South

Entry: Steps/beach

The Blue cave is very popular diving point for beginners to advanced divers.

Given its popularity becomes very crowded in summer.

The best time to see its full magnificence is early morning 7-9am.

Entry is highly dependent on weather conditions, which make it accessible only about 50% of the year. (May--October)

Skin Diving: As it becomes so crowded skin diving inside the Cave is only possible at off-peak hours. 7-9am or 4pm-

Scuba diving is possible all day.

From this point we can also dive the "Maeda Wall" which drops down to 30m, this is for divers who hold an appropriate license.

Nakayukui.

Depth: 8-15m

Favourable wind: south

Entry: Beach

Nakayukui beach is a hidden treasure, it is not crowded, and offers amazing views of corals with an abundance of fish and a very high chance of seeing turtles.

To reach the point the surface swim is a little longer than other points (about 200m) but well worth it.

For a first time skin diver this point may seem a little daunting but I promise memories that will last a lifetime!!

For scuba diving due to the conditions of this point only bookings from those with a license will be accepted.

 Red Beach, Kin

 Depth: 2-16m

 Favourable winds: Northerly

Entry: Beach/steps

An amazing place for macro photography.

This beach is often quite low visibility but worth it for the photos you can get.

The amazing abundance of coral and fish are a true sight to behold.
